Meet the family: Teegan

Please meet Teegan. He is 6 years old (4 years in the first photo), and is in kindergarten. He LOVES his teacher, although he recently said that he 'pretty much likes everyone in the world'. He is always amusing us with his funny, kind, and often peculiar insights. Teegan has learned to read quite well this school year and is very proud of this.

His current favorites to read are Go Dog, Go!, The Cat in the Hat, and Silly Spider. He has recently learned all about butterflies and is hoping that we will soon have some of our own...

Teegan has sho
wed his intelligence over the years with his fascination with numbers. He started adding when he was sitting in his carseat at age 3. Lately his favorite thing is to quiz his mom (aka, me) on various very large addition problems- while she is driving.

Teegan is a great swimmer and is looking forward to passing to the next level- which should be next month. Stay tuned! Teegan also has started to learn to play the piano a bit, and talks alot about when he is old enough to play the drums as well. He currently has his own sticks for practicing on pillows and unsuspecting brothers and dads...

Teegan enjoys playing hot wheels with his mom, and being sung to at bedtime. He also loves to play kickball at school. Teegan is a kind child who is always looking out for others.

When Teegan says his prayers this is usually what we hear:
"... please bless us to have a good Saturday and Tuesday and bless us that we can adopt 2 baby girls safely."

What more can you ask for?

Meet the family: Raiden

Here will be a series of short posts to introduce our family. First up we have Raiden. Raiden is 10 years old and in the 5th grade. He is a really smart kid, who spends most of his free time reading. His all time favorite series is, none other than Harry Potter.

When he is not reading, he is either swimming or jumping on the trampoline. He can also be caught listening to a variety of cd's in his room.

What have we heard lately? Way too much Weird Al, some Scott Huckabay, and his all time favorite: Van Halen. He says his theme song is Dreams, by Van Halen. Raiden is in his second year of band playing the drums. He is also in his 4th year in choir, and is learning to play the piano.

Raiden is also improving his skateboarding skills. And lately he has been doing extra chores to earn extra money to buy one of the latest DS games- Spectrobes.
